Nobody can force a particular tribe to become a part of MAras. MADC is not meant only for MAras. It is also meant for other ethnic group including Zophei(Zyphe). Similarly, Just because Maras have MLA in Mizoram assembly, it does not mean that maras are a part of mizo. Since MAras also live and inhabit Mizoram, they have legitimate poltical representative..Zyphe speaking people and Nihawtalng-Lai have political representative in MADC not by virtue of being MAra but being the inhabitant of MADC( saiha dsitr. Same thing in the case of minorities in
NCHADC, KAAD and other ADC in north east. | No Assimilation takes place

The last commenter, calm down. There is no assimilation taking place, if we Maras do, we will make the same mistake as others. Maras don't like assimilation allegedly practiced by some Mizos. The question here is if its the will of the majority, why should those who give out our lands to outsiders be given EM Revenue portfolio. I don't know if you can read the news article.
