Even if Christmas falls on Sunday, that Sunday is not counted, because the Advent is only till 24th December. In your first comment you wrote as if Nov.30 is always the starting day of the Advent (Advent Christmas). And the Context in which you wrote your comment had condemned those who celebrated the advent on Nov.27 (Kolkata and Guwahati MCFs). See the context in which you wrote. You got a quick response from a user from Guwahati (bmmara gmcf) stating that they did celebrate correctly.
It is not Nov.30 that counts. Due to the leap year effect the first Advent date keeps changing. It is the 4th Sunday before Christmas that makes all the difference.That Sunday is called the first Advent Sunday (Nov.27 this year). You must be able to count another 3 Sundays till 25th December, not counting the 25th December if that falls on Sunday. It is that simple.
I feel that unless we know things for certain and have verified with good and reliable sources one should not make unverified statements recklessly in the age of internet, especially about those with facts. Because there are sincere people who will not be satisfied unless facts and truth are presented to them. False statements we've made often haunt us back. But remember, to err is human. We all make mistakes. And there's nothing to be feel bad. We all learn from our mistakes and move on....
